Editorial Illustration

I created this illustrated editorial page in my Graphic Design II class. The assignment was to take the first page of an editorial article from the internet, set the type, and design an illustration that related to the writing. After choosing an article about getting stuck creatively, I was inspired by Susan Kare’s early Mac icons to create icons of my own on Illustrator and apply them to the illustration, with lots of noise added to create texture. I intended for the illustration to reflect the feeling of a creative person being stuck, as the article suggests.
